We are currently supporting a client on a specialist engagement focused on defining a Target Operating Model (TOM) for integrating a new Bond product into an investment platform environment. This is a highly niche role requiring a strong blend of technical business analysis, platform integration expertise, and investment platform knowledge. While the role can be delivered remotely, there is a strong preference for candidates based in or near Bristol, UK who are open to a hybrid working model.
What you will do:
- Define a high-level Target Operating Model (TOM) focused on technical integration and platform architecture considerations.
- Analyse and map end-to-end system-driven customer journeys, including new business, top-ups, and withdrawals.
- Design and document money movement flows across platform, provider, and custody environments.
- Define technical and operational interfaces between the platform and third-party product providers.
- Assess integration impacts within existing platform architecture and identify gaps or dependencies.
- Develop scalable integration models aligned to future third-party product onboarding.
- Produce structured documentation including operating models, integration flows, and mini business cases.
- Engage with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical outputs.
The Ideal Candidate has 10+ years of combined experience in:
- Technical Business Analysis
- Product Analysis
- Product / Platform Consulting
- Wealth management systems
- Third-party product integrations
- System interactions and backend processing
- Data flows and platform architecture
- Money movement and custody flows
Experience with onshore and/or offshore bond products within platform environments. System flow diagrams, integration-focused documentation, and the ability to work independently within a short-term, delivery-focused engagement are essential.
Preferred background:
- API integrations, batch processing, or event-driven platform architectures.
- Multi-system platform environments with third-party dependencies.
- Financial platform transformation or integration programmes.
