Block Booking: Locum Optometrist

Duration: 3 months from July 2026 - September 2026

Location: Surrey & surrounding areas (including SW London & Berkshire)

Days: 3-5 days per week (No weekends)

Rate: £450 per day

Each day you’ll see a cluster of 6–8 patients within the same local area. Travel can be up to 50 miles from your home postcode, but this won’t be every day – some days you may work just 5 miles away, other days 20 or 30 miles. Once in your area for the day, you’ll only have short drives between patients as they will be clustered in the same postcode region.

You will:

  • Help around 6-8 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes.
  • Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hour), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard care.
  • Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise.
  • Although you’ll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.
  • Use the very latest equipment, including mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.
