Job Summary

As a domiciliary audiologist, you can help our most vulnerable patients with their hearing in the comfort of their homes. You will play a crucial role in providing audiological testing services to patients in the comfort of their homes. You will be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your professional expertise. You will have full support from our central teams including logistical and clinical support.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Manage a daily schedule of adults with hearing loss.
  • Perform Pure Tone Audiometry including masking as required.
  • Conduct tests for non-organic hearing loss and Noise Induced Hearing Loss.
  • Take aural impressions and select appropriate ear moulds.
  • Select, program, and fit hearing instruments.
  • Provide structured, patient-centric aftercare to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support individuals with hearing loss and use outcome measures to ensure maximum benefit.
  • Use Real Ear Measurement equipment to validate fittings.
  • Maintain test equipment and arrange calibration as needed.
  • Provide ear care and wax removal (training provided).
  • Follow infection control best practices.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Register with HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser (training provided).
  • Reflect on practice, identify strengths and development needs.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and seek advice when needed.
  • Contribute to the clinical team and discuss client needs.
  • Attend supervision and training to maintain and expand skills.
  • Maintain HCPC CPD records.
  • Understand clinical governance principles.
  • Ensure staff compliance with infection control, health, and safety policies.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Effective communicator with multiple parties.
  • Proficient with digital systems and detail-oriented.
  • Confident driver with at least two years of driving experience and ability to find multiple locations.
  • Calm under pressure, pragmatic problem solver, organized, and able to multitask.
  • Operate within your clinical knowledge and limitations.
