Outscape invites applications for the position of Walking For All Officer for the Fermanagh and Omagh area. Walking For All is a project supported by PEACEPLUS (€7,536,957), a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body, (SEUPB), under the Rural Regeneration and Social Inclusion Investment Area, through the PEACEPLUS Healthy and Inclusive Communities theme. PEACEPLUS is a cross-border funding Programme designed to support peace and prosperity across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland. Walking For All is a volunteer-led walking participation programme developed to improve health, wellbeing and social inclusion within local communities. The programme will operate across Northern Ireland and the six border counties. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of the Walking For All programme within the Fermanagh and Omagh area. Job description To lead the development and delivery of Walking For All across Fermanagh and Omagh, building a sustainable network of regular volunteer-led walks in towns, villages and rural communities. The Officer will work proactively with local communities to recruit, train and support Volunteer Walk Leaders, establish new walking groups, increase participation - particularly among people and communities who experience barriers to being active - and deliver against the programmes agreed targets and outcomes. Post: Walking for All Officer, Fermanagh your contribution will be 6.5% (rate may fluctuate slightly based on NILGOSC contribution rate bands). Location: Hybrid working (as set out in Outscapes Agile Working Policy). A significant proportion of postholders time each week will be spent out and about with communities in the Fermanagh
