About the Role:

The Registered Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and regulatory compliance of the Family Assessment Centre. They will ensure the centre provides high-quality, evidence-based parenting assessments and safeguarding oversight for parents and their babies/children in line with Ofsted requirements, statutory regulations, and organisational policies. The RM is accountable for ensuring the service is safe, effective, child-centred, and delivers positive outcomes for families under the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the centre operates in full compliance with Family Centre Regulations, Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 (best-practice crossover expectations), Ofsted Registered Requirements, Local Safeguarding Partnership procedures.
  • Oversee all quality assurance systems, including Reg 25/Reg 45 style monitoring reports.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records that meet Ofsted's expectations for evidence-based assessments.
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the centre.
  • Recruit, develop, and supervise staff in line with safer recruitment and Ofsted requirement.
  • Oversee the delivery of robust, evidence-based parenting assessments.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Previous experience working in a safeguarding environment with children and families.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks.
  • Experience of completing and overseeing parenting assessment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A minimum of two years experience in a management role within social care/children's services.
  • Strong report-writing skills suitable for court proceedings.
