About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Ofsted Dual Registered Manager to manage a Brand New 3 bed & 4 bedded children’s residential home in Wanstead. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the home and ensure the highest standards of care for children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the children’s residential home.
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Provide strong leadership and management to the residential care team.
- Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Manage budgets, resources, and day-to-day operational requirements of the home.
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals.
- Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections and maintain high standards of care.
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior in a children’s residential setting.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Proven experience leading and developing staff teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A minimum of two years experience in a Children’s Residential setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people in residential care.
