We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our residential care team in Thorpe Astley (LE3). The role involves supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), additional needs, and challenging behaviours within a safe, nurturing, and structured residential environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for young people by providing emotional support, guidance, and practical care while encouraging independence, education, and personal development.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Support children with daily routines, personal care, education, appointments, and activities.
- Manage challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and the wellbeing of all children and young people.
