Senior Residential Support Worker
to join our dedicated team at a childrens residential home in
Matlock, Derbyshire . This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can provide compassionate, consistent and high-quality care while also taking responsibility for supporting the day-to-day running of the home. About the role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment for the young people in our care. You will: Provide high-quality care and support tailored to each young persons individual needs. Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with children and young people. Act as a positive role model and encourage young people to develop confidence, independence and life skills. Support young people with education, appointments, activities and community involvement. Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to Residential Support Workers. Assist with the day-to-day running of the home and ensure agreed routines and standards are maintained. Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, key-work sessions and young peoples records. Promote safeguarding and always put the welfare of the young people first. Work positively with families, social workers, schools and other professionals. Support colleagues and contribute to a strong, consistent and positive team culture. Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager, where required. About you
We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in working with children or young people in a residential, care or support setting. Passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes. Calm, patient, resilient and able to respond appropriately to challenging situations. Confident taking responsibility and leading a shift. A strong communicator who works well as part of a team. Able to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships. Reliable, organised and committed to providing consistently high standards of care. Willing to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in shifts. A relevant qualification in
Children and Young People, Health & Social Care or Residential Childcare
is desirable. A Level 3 qualification, or willingness to work towards one, would be an advantage. What we offer
