We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care in a 3 bedded LD Children's home located in Greater Manchester. As the Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home while providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

About the Role

  • Deliver high quality care to our young people
  • Ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
  • Review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
  • Liaise with Local Authorities and external providers
  • Support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
  • Run the home in the absence of the Manager
  • Complete on-call duties as and when required
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Have a strong working knowledge of current legislation e.g. Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team, completion of regular supervisions
  • Experience in supporting children with early life trauma, challenging behaviours, LD and neglect

Requirements

  • Must have a full manual driving licence
  • Must be flexible with shifts and available for days, nights and sleep ins - generous sleep in rate
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
