We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care in a 3 bedded LD Children's home located in Greater Manchester. As the Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home while providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
About the Role
- Deliver high quality care to our young people
- Ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
- Review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
- Liaise with Local Authorities and external providers
- Support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Run the home in the absence of the Manager
- Complete on-call duties as and when required
- Have strong communication skills
- Have a strong working knowledge of current legislation e.g. Children's Homes Regulations 2015
- Provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team, completion of regular supervisions
- Experience in supporting children with early life trauma, challenging behaviours, LD and neglect
Requirements
- Must have a full manual driving licence
- Must be flexible with shifts and available for days, nights and sleep ins - generous sleep in rate
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
