OUTRAGE LONDON is one of the UK’s fastest growing personalised jewellery brands, redefining how men connect with meaning through what they wear and what they gift. Our ambition is clear: to become the world’s leading personalised men’s gifting company. In the years ahead, we will evolve beyond jewellery, curating an exclusive range of men’s gifting pieces designed to mark milestones, honour relationships, and create lasting legacy.
At the heart of everything we create is a belief that personalisation is not a feature but the emotional core. Craftsmanship is our proof of value, and every piece is designed to carry identity, sentiment and story. Our motto: Built for legacy. Defined by identity. Gifted with meaning.
What began as a garage start up in 2022 has grown into a multi million pound brand, surpassing £2 million in revenue. And this is only the beginning. With plans to reach £10 million in revenue within the next two years, OUTRAGE LONDON is entering its next phase of transformation. To support this growth, we are investing heavily in automation, scalable systems and world class infrastructure across every function of the business.
What you will do
As OUTRAGE LONDON’s Systems Engineer and Developer (Operations, Data and Automation), you will build, maintain and continuously improve the operational brain of the company, taking ownership of business critical challenges from day one. This role combines systems engineering with software development. You will design and build the technical infrastructure that powers our operations, removing manual processes and creating scalable systems that enable the business to grow. This is not IT support. This is process engineering, software development and automation at scale. Your work will make human error in stock, engraving, packing and product onboarding physically impossible.
Key responsibilities
- Data Architecture: Turn spreadsheets into structured, reliable databases and internal systems. Build data structures that eliminate manual errors and enable accurate stock logic, purchase triggers and integrations.
- Workflow and Process Engineering: Build and maintain operational workflows such as Pick to Engrave to QC to Pack with scan verification, automated checks and traceability built into the system.
- Software Development and Internal Tools: Design and develop internal tools and systems that support operations, product management and warehouse processes.
- API Integrations: Build and maintain API integrations between internal systems and third party platforms including ecommerce platforms, shipping providers and inventory tools.
- Stock Accuracy and Accountability: Design systems that eliminate ghost stock, track waste or spoilage and ensure full traceability of every product.
- Shipping and Cost Automation: Build systems that automatically select shipping methods, calculate costs and remove manual decision making from the fulfilment process.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Create systems that manage the entire pipeline from Warehouse to Photography to Listing to Live Product, ensuring visibility and efficiency across departments.
- Long Term Systems Ownership: Continuously improve the systems that run the company, identifying manual work and replacing it with automation wherever possible.
What you will bring
This role is for a very specific type of person. You must:
- Have a strong technical background and a deep interest in building systems that make businesses run more efficiently.
- At least 4 years of real world software development experience building systems and integrations.
- Strong experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Experience programming in Java and C.
- Experience building and maintaining backend systems.
- Experience working with Google Firebase or similar backend infrastructure.
- Experience designing systems that manage real operational data and processes.
- Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query and complex IF logic.
- A highly process minded approach and an obsession with eliminating errors.
- Confidence working with operational teams and spending time on the warehouse floor to understand real world processes before building systems.
- The ability to design systems that blue collar warehouse staff can follow perfectly.
- The instinct to look at any manual task and immediately think this should be automated.
- The ability to read messy operational data and turn it into simple, scalable systems.
- Coding knowledge beyond the core languages above is a strong advantage.
Our commitment to you
At OUTRAGE LONDON, we value the people who help us build world class systems and operations. This role comes with:
- £28,500 annual compensation plus performance related monthly bonuses, reviewed annually with potential increases of up to 10 percent per year.
- 30 days paid annual leave.
- Competitive company pension contributions.
- Annual career review with clear potential for progression into senior technical and operational leadership roles.
- A culture of continuous learning where you can grow your skills and have a real impact on how the company operates.
