We are currently looking to engage Pre-Assessment Nurses to support a 3-month surgical insourcing programme within an NHS Trust. This is an immediate-start opportunity, supporting pre-operative assessment activity across multiple specialties.
Main duties of the job
Pattern: A mix of mid-week and weekend clinics
Hours: Standard clinic hours
Specialties: Cross-specialty support across the Trust
Team model: We are looking to build a consistent team who can work together each week to ensure continuity and efficiency
System: Experience with My Pre-Op is preferred but not essential
Accommodation : Available onsite

Job responsibilities
Screening and assessment of patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures through the collection of confidential and sensitive patient information.
Order screening and diagnostic tests as per identified policies/protocols.
Evaluate results of investigations and recognise abnormalities and refer to the appropriate health professional.
Identify potential anaesthetic, medical and surgical problems and refer appropriately to relevant health care professionals.
Carry out a range of diagnostic tests.
Qualifications
Current NMC registration – Band 5 +
Recent NHS pre-assessment experience, Confident undertaking independent pre-operative assessments and escalating appropriately
