Outlook Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OTLK) is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company redefining the standard of care in retinal disease. Our lead product has received FDA approval, making it the first and only FDA-approved ophthalmic formulation of its kind for the treatment of wet AMD, and we are preparing for US commercial launch. Our lead product is also the first ophthalmic formulation of its kind to receive Marketing Authorization from the European Commission and the UK MHRA for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), and has launched across Germany, Austria, and the UK.

This is a rare ground-floor moment at a company hitting its commercial inflection point. As a lean, fast-moving organization, we offer scope and ownership that larger companies can’t: your work is visible, your decisions matter, and you’ll help build the function rather than simply maintain it. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership and see a clear line between what you do and patients gaining access to a new treatment option.

This role blends field-based Medical Science Liaison engagement with broader Medical Affairs strategy — as we grow, you'll help shape the scope of the function itself, not just execute within it.

  • Medical Affairs & Field Medical Engagement
    • Support development and execution of Medical Affairs strategy and initiatives
    • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, and key opinion leaders
    • Lead scientific exchange with external stakeholders on company products, clinical data, and disease state information
    • Support medical education activities and scientific communication efforts, including advisory boards, scientific meetings, and webinars
    • Represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses, meetings, and educational events
  • Real-World Evidence & Medical Insights
    • Support real-world evidence initiatives and data collection activities
    • Contribute to analysis and communication of scientific and clinical insights
    • Gather and communicate field insights to internal stakeholders
    • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and unmet needs within the therapeutic area
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development
    • Provide scientific support for launch readiness and commercialization activities
    • Participate in cross-functional planning and strategic initiatives
  • Compliance & Medical Review
    • Support medical review and approval processes as assigned
    • Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance of medical and promotional materials
    • Uphold adherence to applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Organizational Growth
    • Contribute to development of scalable Medical Affairs processes and capabilities
    • Support onboarding and functional guidance for future team members as the organization scales
    • Participate in organizational planning and continuous improvement initiatives

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience within Medical Affairs, Field Medical, Clinical, or related healthcare environments
  • Strong scientific communication and relationship-management skills with healthcare professionals, investigators, and key opinion leaders
  • Prior experience in ophthalmology or a related specialty therapeutic area
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, evolving organization
  • Ability to travel as business needs require
  • Full, valid UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly across the assigned territory.

Preferred

  • Advanced scientific, medical, or healthcare degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent clinical/scientific credential)
  • Experience supporting evidence generation, RWE initiatives, or medical communications at a small or growth-stage biopharma company
