About you
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives? Job Role
- Demonstrate the skill of delivering care as prescribed in care plans for a group of residents under the guidance of senior staff.
- Be able to give a comprehensive verbal and written report on the resident's progress on a shift.
- Deliver and understand the importance of maintaining hydration and nutrition.
- Deliver and understand the principles of infection control and follow Foxburrow Grange policy.
- Deliver and understand the principles of falls prevention.
- Take an active part in life story work, understanding the principles and the expected outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of an activity‑based home culture.
- Make all routine interventions a meaningful 30‑second connection.
- Use every care opportunity to see the person behind the illness.

St George's Nursing Home in Witham provides residential and nursing care, and specialises in high dependency, intermediate and long‑term palliative care and end of life care. Our philosophy is to provide our residents with a relaxed and comfortable home in which their nursing care needs, well‑being and choice are of prime importance. We achieve this by putting our residents at the centre of all decisions about their lives and by encouraging them to exercise their rights in all aspects of their care.
