The Senior Event Manager is a key leader responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of high-impact events and experiences across the Outernet district. This role manages the full event lifecycle from logistics and supplier coordination to cross-functional collaboration and post-event evaluation. The ideal candidate is highly organised, solutions-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, partner-focused environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring every event upholds the exceptional service standards of the Outernet brand, while championing operational excellence and team performance.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills:
- Event Management & Delivery
- Lead and manage all logistical planning and on-site execution of internal and partner events, ensuring operational excellence across each activation.
- Coordinate complex event requirements by working cross-functionally with Commercial, Scheduling, Studio, Production, Broadcast Operations & Outernet Venues.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of event elements such as production schedules, staffing, equipment build and supplier coordination.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work with Sales to scope event requirements, align on client expectations, and ensure operational needs are captured early.
- Source, negotiate, and manage external suppliers and service providers to meet project timelines, quality standards, and budget parameters.
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with strategic partners and district stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Conduct post-event reviews to evaluate outcomes, partner satisfaction, and areas for improvement, feeding insights into future planning.
- Health & Safety & Risk Management
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure all events meet Outernet’s safety standards and risk protocols.
- Review floor plans, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure events operate within safe and compliant frameworks.
- Identify and escalate any risk-related concerns to senior stakeholders in a timely and proactive manner.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and develop the team responsible for the delivery and management of events.
- Support goal setting, OKRs, and Continuous Performance Management across direct reports.
- Champion a positive team culture and empower the team to deliver best-in-class service through coaching, training, and support.
- Strategy, Reporting & Innovation
- Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders on event performance, operational needs, and team development.
- Stay informed on emerging event trends, technologies, and tools, bringing innovation to event delivery and team processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve process efficiency and scalability.
- Culture & Organisational Impact
- Actively promote and uphold Outernet’s values and commitment to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years of Event Management & Operations
- Excellent IT literacy including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Solid knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements concerning health and safety.
- Ability to understand and commit to legal requirements/paperwork such as risk assessments/method statements.
Desirable Skills & Experience
