Wetheringsett Manor School is seeking an ambitious, strategic, and compassionate Quality of Education Co-ordinator to join our leadership team. In this role, you will play a central part in shaping and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across the school, ensuring every pupil benefits from a stimulating, inclusive, and outcomes-focused education.
About the Role
As our Quality of Education Co-ordinator, you will lead the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the curriculum, assessment, and intervention strategies across all key stages. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee pupil progress, support staff development, and ensure teaching approaches meet the diverse needs of our students. You will also maintain a teaching presence where required, oversee external and internal reporting, and contribute to curriculum enrichment initiatives such as careers, work experience, and educational visits. This is an exciting opportunity to influence school-wide improvement, champion inclusion, and ensure every learner thrives academically, socially, and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and develop the school’s curriculum and assessment systems to ensure meaningful progression for all pupils
- Work with middle leaders and SLT to identify priorities for curriculum development, inclusion, and teaching quality
- Observe teaching and learning, providing feedback and guidance to improve practice
- Analyse assessment data and provide termly reports on pupil progress and outcomes
- Support the professional development of staff through CPD and mentoring in curriculum delivery
- Oversee and support baseline testing, ECT progression, and target-setting processes
- Coordinate extra-curricular learning opportunities, including work experience and educational visits, as relevant
- Maintain teaching capacity across key stages as required and support exam and access arrangements
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Professional qualification in education leadership (e.g., NPQSL, NPQML, or equivalent)
- Extensive and successful experience as a middle leader or in an extended leadership role
- Experience of faculty or subject management in a variety of settings
- Proven experience liaising successfully with local authorities and professional organisations

About the School
Wetheringsett Manor School is a new independent day SEMH School for up to 100 pupils aged 7-18. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life. Wetheringsett Manor School has gone through significant refurbishment and is based in Suffolk, East Anglia and opened to pupils in November 2020. The Manor House is located in 17 acres of parkland with wooded boundaries and sits on the edge of the village of Wetheringsett.
