Position: SEN Teacher

Location: The Grange Therapeutic School, Knossington, Oakham LE15 8LY

Rota: Monday to Thursday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education for students with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Working within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, promote positive development, and help students make meaningful academic, social, and emotional progress.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching to individuals and small groups in line with the school curriculum
  • Design and implement individual education, behaviour, and support plans in collaboration with colleagues
  • Coordinate teaching, assessment, and reporting across agreed subjects and key stages
  • Support students with challenging behaviour to develop self-regulation and independence
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, tutors, and care staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support
  • Contribute to school development priorities and continuous improvement

Qualified: UK QTS or equivalent, with a relevant degree

Skilled in supporting students with SEN, autism (ASC), learning difficulties, and complex needs

Compassionate & Resilient: Able to build trusting relationships with pupils who have faced significant challenges

Creative & Flexible: Able to adapt and innovate to meet individual needs
