Job Title:          PE and Outdoor Education Instructor Salary:              Up to £30,000 per annum  Location:          New Barn School, Newbury, Berkshire, RG20 8HZ Contract:          Permanent Term Time Only Hours:              40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm including 1x 5pm finish UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship. Due to growth in our service, we are recruiting for a PE and Outdoor Education Instructor to join our wonderful team at New Barn School located in Newbury! Job purpose The PE and Outdoor Education Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting physical education classes for students. This role involves teaching students various physical activities, promoting teamwork, and ensuring the development of students' physical fitness, motor skills, and overall well-being. Main Duties: Planning and Delivery of Outdoor Education sessions To assist in the audit of the existing Outdoor Education team and current provision Assist in developing robust medium and long term plans to ensure a wide skill set in instructors and quality programme of Outdoor Education across the school To work collaboratively with class teachers and develop cross curricular links To attend regular team meetings to discuss plans, equipment, training and resource requirement To deliver outstanding group and 1:1 sessions as appropriate To build and maintain positive working relationships with external providers About the School New Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls, aged 6–19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.
