How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four ?
Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

Job title: Humanities Teacher
Location: Meadowcroft School, Wakefield, WF1 4AD
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary: Up to £36,925.00 per annum (dependant on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Humanities Teacher to join our close-knit team at Meadowcroft School located in Wakefield.
About the role
As a dynamic and motivated qualified Teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils and young people. In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of each individual as you help them flourish and thrive.
You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working as a Teacher with us is not your average teaching role, you are able to create a nurturing learning environment designed around each individual’s needs, spending quality time with each pupil. You will observe, monitor and assess them, making sure their personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum.
- Participate in Safeguarding and Team Teach training and always be vigilant of the pupils’ well-being and welfare in any interactions with pupils
- Responsibility for teaching three disciplines History/Geography/RE
- Inspire, motivate and challenge pupils in the delivery of the curriculum across the year groups
- Take responsibility and be accountable for the academic outcomes of pupils taught
- Contribute to the pastoral care of pupils and support their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
