Job Title: Learning & Development Trainer
Location: Home-based with travel across Oxford, Guildford and Basingstoke.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9-5 (hybrid/flexible working)
Salary: £30,000 + £3,000 car allowance.

The Role
As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and development solutions across our regional services, both virtually and face‑to‑face. You will share specialist knowledge, collaborate with colleagues, and ensure that training makes a real difference to staff performance and outcomes for the children and young people we support. This role requires travel across to one of our key locations: Reading, Crawley, Guildford, and Basingstoke, so a willingness to travel is essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high‑quality training to diverse audiences using adult learning principles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional service leads and colleagues.
- Work with the L&D Content team to develop and improve training materials.
- Track attendance and complete training administration accurately using the LMS.
- Share your expertise to improve training programmes and outcomes.
- Support L&D projects and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Lead, manage, or participate in performance review processes as required.
- Work in line with company policies, Health & Safety standards, and safeguarding regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience delivering training to diverse audiences (as a trainer, facilitator, teacher, or similar).
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of different learning styles and ability to embed these in training delivery.
- Proven ability to build professional relationships and exceed customer expectations.
- CIPD qualification or Award in Education and Training (minimum Level 3) or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel for face‑to‑face training delivery.
Desirable
- First Aid Instructor qualification.
- Experience in education or school‑based settings.
- Knowledge of Ofsted and ISI standards/regulations.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle (or alternative travel arrangements).
