About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our new Acorn School, Avonside School in Brislington, Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a high-quality, inclusive learning environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects within the secondary curriculum, using resources effectively to secure strong progress and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with the Headteacher to support curriculum development and take on additional agreed responsibilities to ensure effective delivery.
- Adapt teaching flexibly to meet individual needs, including teaching beyond your main subject area where required.
- Promote pupilsā personal development and wellbeing, supporting their social, emotional and academic growth.
- Uphold safeguarding and professional standards, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and all school policies.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including administrative responsibilities, specific areas of leadership, and additional duties as required, reviewed through performance management and school improvement processes.
