Salary: £23,415.00 per annum / £14.00 per hour (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: March 2026

About the Role

At Ashley Park School, we’re seeking dedicated, compassionate Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference. In this rewarding role, you’ll support pupils with additional needs to access learning, build independence, and flourish within a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll help deliver high-quality education and care, ensuring every pupil feels supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support class teachers to deliver engaging lessons for all students.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Promote pupils’ educational, emotional, and physical development.
• Assist with planning, implementation, and review of individual support plans.
• Help organise classrooms, resources, and learning materials.
• Encourage positive behaviour, self-regulation, and social skills.
• Ensure student safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding and risk assessment procedures.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, care staff, families, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and keep up to date with best practices.

About You

You will have:

• Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable)
• Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required (essential)
• Completion of relevant induction training on commencement (essential)
• A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs

Ashley Park School is a brand-new independent specialist school in Epsom, Surrey, for autistic young people aged 11–19, with a capacity for 60 pupils. We provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Personalised teaching, differentiated lessons, and tailored therapeutic support ensure each pupil’s unique needs and abilities are met.
