Baston House School is seeking a passionate, creative, and reflective SEN Maths Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver maths in a way that builds confidence, curiosity, and real-world skills for students with special educational needs.

As SEN Maths Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive maths education tailored to individual needs. Working with small groups and one-to-one learners, you will design engaging, accessible lessons that support academic progress, personal development, and wellbeing.

You’ll work collaboratively with teaching colleagues, Learning Support Assistants, care staff, and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support. This role suits a teacher who enjoys adapting learning creatively, values strong relationships, and is driven to achieve positive outcomes for every student.

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt Maths lessons for individuals and small groups to meet varied needs
  • Develop schemes of work, learning modules, and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide guidance to Learning Support Assistants and support staff for effective lesson delivery
  • Support whole-school priorities, contribute to the School Development Plan, and implement policies consistently
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths, SEN practice, and wider educational approaches
