A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our sister company Magtech (part of the OUTCO Group) for a Gate Automation Engineer in The Midlands area, working mainly from home, however weekly visits to our main base in Leicester will be required to replenish stocks/collect kit.
You must have previous knowledge and experience of Gate Automation systems and Access Control systems. Experience of Welding would be beneficial. You will be involved in installations of new systems, retrofits, safety upgrades, service and maintenance, and fault finding, so experience is essential. There will be an element of ground working involved when carrying out new installations, and this is normally carried out as a team of 2.
This field-based role will be demanding, working under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will have the responsibility of installing new Gate Automation Systems or undertaking the maintenance of existing systems, working individually or as part of a team as required. Fluent English, both spoken and written, is a must as you will be dealing with residents and customers and delivering detailed and accurate reports to the Office via using a Tablet.
An ideal Service and Installation Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Must have previous experience with Gate Automation Systems such as CAME, ROGER, BENINCA, and BFT would be beneficial
- Valid UK Driving License
- Knowledge of Door Entry Systems/ Access Control Panels/ Door Automation systems would be beneficial
- Fluent English spoken and written is a must
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety aspects related to any gate/ door automation system
- Act responsibly and with necessary care for yourself, the property of others, and the team
- Ideally hold an Electrical Installation Qualification
Salary – £35,000 to £40,000 + overtime (subject to experience and level of knowledge on products we install). The working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 4:30pm. Additional Hours during the week are paid at normal time. Saturdays if you wish to work are paid at time and half. We do not do out of hours as we try and promote a good work-life balance.
You will also be provided with a company van, fuel card, mobile phone, uniform, Health and Safety training, in-house training on company products, and 28 days paid holiday including bank holidays.
