We are currently seeking reliable and committed Winter Gritting Operators to join our team for the winter season. This role is ideal for individuals who can offer full availability throughout the season and are comfortable working independently in a variety of environments.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable working alone and managing your own workload.
- Able to pass security vetting requirements, including prison security clearance where required.

The Role
You will be responsible for attending a range of private-sector sites, including retail parks, shopping centres, prisons, commercial premises, and other customer locations. Duties include the application of salt to roads, car parks, pathways, and other areas to help ensure safe access during periods of snow and ice. This is a seasonal position running from 1 November to 31 March, with work carried out during winter weather events, often outside normal working hours. Ideal for individuals with a summer business such as landscaping or GM.
