Residential Childcare Worker (FULLTIME)

Qualifications/Experience: (Desirable that individuals have worked in residential childcare age range 8-17).

• Appropriate level of education – NVQ/Diploma level 3 or higher (Desirable), but appropriate life experience would be acceptable for the right candidate.

• Excellent communication skills

• Highly professional with friendly and empathetic manner

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Eligibility to reside and work in the UK

• Experience of working within a Residential Children’s Home

• Customer facing experience

• Punctuality and organisational skills

• Good understanding of IT and the ability to learn new systems

Responsibilities

• To carry out and undertake specific and general tasks which will provide good quality of health, welfare and well-being of the residents.

• To contribute, develop and implement young person’s centred care plans.

• To work flexibly to meet the resident’s support needs

• To communicate effectively and professionally with all persons in the resident’s life.

• To work as part of a person-centred team

• To work effectively and professionally within the policies, procedures, aims, objectives and philosophy of the company with your colleagues.

• Quick start date

• Rates of pay – Starting £12.00 per hour (£53 generous sleep allowance)

• Overtime rate 20% extra
