The role β what you\βll own
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will set the architecture and strategy, then deliver β rapidly and relentlessly. Your work will power open banking, drive AI-led personalisation, and underpin tokenised ownership for athletes, icons, and society at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and scale Outbehaving\βs athlete-first financial and life management platform.
- Lead the build and integration of FinTech systems: open banking, payments, insurance, pensions, investments.
- Drive AI-first development: personalised finance coaching, fraud detection, safeguarding, and smart life tools.
- Own blockchain and tokenisation strategy for dynamic ownership, rewards, and equity distribution.
- Ensure best-in-class data privacy, security, and compliance (FCA, GDPR, PSD2, MiCA).
- Recruit and lead a lean, high-calibre engineering team across full stack, AI, and DevOps.
- Select and manage external vendors, APIs, and technology partners to accelerate delivery.
- Translate vision into scalable architecture: modular, API-driven, secure, and future-proof.
- Partner tightly with product, design, and growth teams to ship features that drive adoption and retention.
- Build a technology roadmap aligned to Outbehaving\βs global ambition and investor milestones.
Who we want
We want an ultra-ambitious, world-class technical leader who can balance
visionary architecture with hands-on delivery.
Must have
Proven track record building and scaling FinTech platforms (banking, payments, wallets, or adjacent).
Deep knowledge of open banking APIs, PSD2 standards, and integration best practice.
Strong AI expertise: practical use of LLMs, recommender systems, data pipelines, and automation.
Blockchain fluency: tokenomics, smart contracts, digital identity, and ownership systems.
Startup mentality: hands-on, decisive, able to build from zero with limited resources.
Expertise in security, compliance, and safeguarding across consumer-facing financial products.
Ability to turn complex tech into simple, trusted user experiences.
Experience working cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and creative teams.
Valuable extras
- Background in scaling consumer-facing platforms in FinTech, sport, or culture.
- Experience designing tokenised ownership or DAO-style structures.
- History of leading teams through investment rounds.
- Visibility in the tech ecosystem (speaking, open-source contributions, thought leadership).
