Role

Opportunity to join a great team within a fast growing and highly successful diverse professional practice. We are seeking an IT Engineer to join our IT team, serving as the main engineer responsible for our London office. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve IT-related problems through remote or in-person communication.
  • Collaborate with IT team to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain new technology.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity and server functionalities.
  • Create and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures and solutions.
  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance overall IT literacy.

Experience required: working as an IT Engineer within a multi-channel business or multi-discipline general practice.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of the following systems desired but not essential:
  • Server Virtualisation and Hyper Converged Infrastructure – Hyper-V/Nutanix
  • VM Backups and Replication - Veeam
  • VLAN's, routing and switching – HP/Cisco
  • Active Directory – On-Prem and Azure AD
  • Firewalls and VPNs – Cato Networks/Sophos
  • Email Security - Mimecast
  • Desktop monitoring systems

Other requirements:

  • Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Ideally lives within reasonable travel distance from Slough site
  • Need flexibility working out of hours where required
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
