The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Location: Bodmin.

Contract Length: 5.6 weeks.

Shift Pattern: 24 hours – 2 days per week (part-time) or 36 hours – 3 waking night shifts per week (full-time). Bank holidays and weekend work may form part of the rota.

Pay Rates:

  • £15.00 per hour on weekday day shifts
  • £16.00 per hour on weekday waking night shifts
  • £108.00 per night for sleepovers
  • Double time for Bank Holidays
  • Hourly rates are paid £1.00 per hour less during the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal and respiratory care.
  • Support with daily living tasks and household duties.
  • Assist with community outings and occasional holidays.
  • Help administer medication and other clinical tasks.
  • Support and monitor healthcare needs, including paperwork.
  • Assist client in accessing community facilities and groups.
  • Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
  • Work positively with other professionals.
  • Participate in learning and development opportunities.

Ideal Support Worker:

  • Positive, caring and proactive approach.
  • Previous experience in a care or support role.
  • Flexible, reliable and committed.
  • Comfortable working around pets.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive an adapted vehicle (preferred).
  • Experience of working with spinal cord injuries (preferred).

Conditions: Female applicants only due to genuine occupational requirements (Health and Social Care Act 2008).
