Account Manager (UK)
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the primary commercial contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
The role is accountable for delivering profitable growth, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring excellent service through effective collaboration with internal teams.
Working closely with Production, Planning, Technical, Quality and Supply Chain, the Account Manager will balance commercial objectives with operational delivery, identifying opportunities to strengthen customer partnerships and support long-term business growth.
Reporting to : Senior Account Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across Procurement, Technical, NPD, Regulatory and Commercial teams.
- Ensure customer expectations are consistently met through proactive communication and effective issue resolution.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to identify opportunities and address risks.
- Commercial Management
- Deliver revenue, margin and profitability targets across assigned accounts.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and pricing recommendations.
- Lead pricing discussions and support contract negotiations.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account plans.
- Identify opportunities for account growth through new products, services and innovation.
- Operational Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Technical, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure successful product delivery.
- Coordinate product launches, formulation changes and packaging updates.
- Support demand forecasting and production planning.
- Monitor service levels, OTIF performance and customer KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and internal processes.
- Support commercial projects and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain CRM systems and commercial reporting.
- Represent Ourvita professionally during customer meetings and industry events where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business, Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within Account Management, Customer Management or Commercial Operations.
- Experience within nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food or contract manufacturing is desirable.
- Experience managing commercial customer relationships.
- Knowledge of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
