As a Kids Club Practitioner at OurHouse, you'll be part of a warm, close-knit team dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating and joyful environment where children can grow, explore and thrive. You'll provide high-quality care and early years education, acting as a Key Person for a group of children and building the kind of trusting relationships that make a real difference to families. This is more than a childcare role - you're part of the OurHouse village, helping families feel supported, children feel seen, and parents feel confident that the people looking after their child genuinely care. You'll report to the Kids Club Supervisor and Kids Club Manager. What You'll Do Act as Key Person for a designated group of children, building strong, trusting relationships with each child and their family Communicate regularly with parents and carers, sharing updates on their child's development and daily experiences Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities based on each child's interests and needs Support children with a range of needs, including SEND, ensuring all children are fully included in the life of the cr che Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding practice, following all cr che policies and procedures at all times Help keep the room clean, safe, well-organised and compliant with regulatory and OurHouse standards Work collaboratively as part of the cr che team, supporting colleagues wherever needed What We're Looking For A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification (or above) - essential Proven experience in an early years setting, with a strong understanding of child development A thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and your responsibilities as a practitioner Excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues A genuine commitment to inclusive practice, including supporting children with SEND Reliable, ethical and conscientious, with a genuine desire to keep developing your practice Why OurHouse?
