Are you the kind of person who can keep a wedding running smoothly, a corporate event on schedule and still find time to greet guests with a smile? If so, we would love to meet you. We are looking for an experienced Front of House & Events manager to join our small team at the Guildhall. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the action and takes pride in delivering exceptional events from start to finish.

What you will be doing:

  • Overseeing the smooth operation of all FOH activities.
  • Managing and coordinating a wide range of events, from intimate celebrations to large-scale functions.
  • Ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and outstanding service.
  • Leading by example and supporting the team in event setup, service and breakdown.
  • Working closely with clients, suppliers and staff to ensure every event exceeds expectations.
  • Rolling up your sleeves when needed – this role includes occasional light furniture moving and event setup duties.

What we are looking for:

  • A proven experience in managing events, with strong knowledge of wedding and corporate events being essential.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Someone who enjoys being hands-on rather than being stuck behind a desk.
  • Weekend availability is a must, as that’s when many of the celebrations happen.

What you’ll Bring:

  • Energy, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour.
  • A keen eye for detail and a talent for problem-solving.
  • To be proactive while juggling multiple priorities while keeping the clients and guests happy.
