The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, responsibilities may include:
- Driving Class 1 curtain-sided and double deck trailers
- A mixture of live deliveries and drop and swaps
- Some unloading may be required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Delivering goods safely, professionally and on time
- Following all Road Transport, Working Time Directive and Driver Hours regulations
- Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately
Please note that a driving assessment may be required before your first shift.
What We're Looking For
- A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- A minimum of 12 months commercial Class 1 driving experience
- A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points; however applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted
- Applicants must be UK residents and able to travel to and from the site independently
- Visa sponsorship or relocation support is not available
