Centric Talent is currently recruiting for an experienced Air Import Operator to join our client's busy Air Operations team based at their Heathrow Gateway in Hounslow (TW4). The Role
As an Air Import Operator, you will play a key role in coordinating international import shipments, ensuring documentation is completed accurately, customs requirements are met, and customers receive a first-class service throughout the shipping process.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage air import shipments from arrival through to final delivery
- Prepare and process Air Waybills (AWBs), customs entries and all required import documentation
- Ensure all customs documentation is completed accurately and in line with current regulations
- Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and internal departments to provide shipment updates
- Track and monitor import shipments, resolving any issues quickly and professionally
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data
- Ensure compliance with customs legislation, aviation security requirements and company procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple shipments and deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Air Freight Import Operations
- Good understanding of import procedures and customs documentation
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and solve problems efficiently
- Experience using CargoWise would be advantageous
- AVSEC (Warehouse & Transport) qualification is desirable
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

4 on, 4 off shift pattern 7:00am – 7:00pm Full-time position
