We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Nando’s and Pizza Hut.
Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a QMS Technologist (known internally as Technical Data Analyst) - 12 month FTC, you will support the delivery of the site complaints and microbiological systems and deliver the required information and reports in relation to them.
- Perform a scheduled programme of compliance gap analysis of customer and industry codes of practice vs site procedures to identify compliance and implement corrective action plans where nonconformity is identified.
- Day to day management of the site corrective and preventative action systems to ensure corrective actions are completed to agreed timescales, address the root cause and deliver sustainable results.
- Develop the Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) to be accurate, secure and efficient to administer.
Ensure that content is current and logically structured to facilitate quick access to key documentation.
- Oversee the administration of the document control system to ensure full implementation of the FSQMS.
Operate systems to record changes and ensure appropriate authorisation of amendments.
Ensure that document updates continue to deliver compliance with customer and industry requirements.
- Facilitate the completion of a scheduled internal audit programme.
Ensure that the programme drives continuous improvement against all areas of the FSQMS with documented audits and agreed corrective action plans.
- Participation within internal, group and third party audits including the professional presentation of data.
- Completion of system improvement projects in line with department strategy and objectives.
- Support other Technical Services functions and provide cover as required.
- What we’re looking for

- Ideally educated to degree level with a capability in Information Technology and specialist knowledge of databases and data analysis techniques and competent with large and complex data sets
- Is an experienced problem solver with proficient decision-making skills
- Experienced with an advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Knowledge and experience of statistical process control techniques
- Demonstrates high-level written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in chilled food manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
