About the charity
Our Second Home is the UK’s youth movement of people with refugee backgrounds. We have welcomed over 600 young people from 50 countries to our activities in London, Essex and Bristol. For young people with refugee experience to build community, become leaders and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home. Through transformative activities, our members take control of their lives and create meaningful change for themselves and their wider community.
We are looking for a Relationship Fundraising Manager who has a curious mind and a passion to cultivate and grow relationships with both donors and internal teams. You must be organised, proactive, comfortable working autonomously, and motivated by the chance to help build a growing and values-driven organisation. You will be the organisation’s operational lead for income generation and report directly to the CEO.
Role responsibilities to include:
- Generating new ideas for income generation and supporter engagement.
- Nurturing the existing pool of supporters and continuing to develop a strong pipeline, building and strengthening relationships to increase engagement and giving potential. This will be across major donors, corporates and trusts and foundations and involve working closely with the CEO who is a keen and proactive fundraiser.
- Developing tailored stewardship plans, providing a personalised experience to deepen donor connections and increase engagement for both regular and one-off donors to ensure agreed targets are met.
- Inspiring supporters through calls, videos, meetings, and events, sharing the impact of their generosity and exploring opportunities for increased giving.
Person Specification to include:
- A can do mindset as we are a small organisation with big ambitions.
- Have a proven track record of meeting income targets. This could be in Major Donor Fundraising, Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations Fundraising.
- Demonstrable ability to provide excellent personalised stewardship/customer care to supporters/clients/customers, cultivating long-term relationships and making them feel valued so that they will continue their financial support.
- Demonstrable examples of collaboration across an organisation to achieve a goal or project success.
