We work closely with Local Authorities and schools to provide safe, engaging and enriching childcare for children eligible for benefits‑related free school meals. Each year, our programmes support more than 10,000 children and families through accessible holiday provision that combines physical activity, creativity, food education and community support. The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Assistant Project Manager to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and wants to combine operational delivery with meaningful social impact. You will play a key role in helping deliver large‑scale holiday camp programmes across multiple boroughs, supporting both the strategic planning and day‑to‑day operations that keep our camps running successfully. No two weeks are the same. During term time, the focus is on planning, logistics, partnerships and growth. During school holidays, the role becomes highly operational, helping manage live programme delivery across multiple sites. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Programme Operations & Logistics
    • Coordinate staff rotas and seasonal workforce scheduling
    • Support recruitment and onboarding of camp staff
    • Manage equipment distribution, stock control and supply ordering
    • Assist with multi‑site operational planning across London boroughs
    • Conduct site visits to ensure high standards of delivery
  • Stakeholder & Parent Engagement
    • Act as a key point of contact for parents, schools and local authority partners
    • Manage bookings, enquiries and programme communications professionally and efficiently
    • Build positive relationships with venue partners and delivery teams
  • Growth & Development
    • Help identify new venue opportunities and community partnerships
    • Support local marketing campaigns and attendance growth
    • Produce engaging digital and printed promotional materials
  • Budgeting & Reporting
    • Assist in monitoring project budgets and operational spend
    • Support reporting against KPIs and funding requirements
    • Help identify operational efficiencies while maintaining programme quality
  • Safeguarding & Compliance
    • Help maintain high safeguarding and health & safety standards across all camps
    • Support compliance processes, documentation and audits
    • Ensure policies and procedures are consistently implemented across sites

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential Skills & Experience
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to remain calm and solutions‑focused under pressure
    • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
    • Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic design tools such as Canva
    • Willingness to work during all school holiday periods (annual leave to be taken during term time)
    • Ability to work from our Kingston upon Thames office
  • Desirable
    • Experience within childcare, education, sport, events or community programmes
    • Experience coordinating multi‑site operations
    • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance processes
    • Safeguarding qualification and/or Enhanced DBS
    • Experience working with Local Authorities or funded programmes
