Position:
Within the Nature division, which comprises BBC Wildlife and BBC Countryfile Magazine, you would be working across nature titles, producing 13 editions of each a year, alongside digital editions, and additional supplements.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient, and creative Designer to join our dynamic team.
The main purpose of the job is to assist the Creative Design Lead with the design and production of the magazines, within the allotted schedules. You will be working closely with the Creative Design Lead to design layouts across all titles and help with aspects of production, while also creating various marketing and digital assets. This will include work such as associated supplements, advertorials, subscription pages, inserts, promotions, and assets for internal/external media.

Requirements:
Essential Skills:
- Be competent in the use of Adobe Creative suite, in particular InDesign and Photoshop
- Experience of creating digital assets for online use
- Be accurate, creative and self-motivated with a high attention to detail
- Strong portfolio of creative design work, showing an awareness and interest in design and typography trends and an ability to incorporate these into your work
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work according to tight deadlines
- Ability to foster a positive working environment taking all stakeholders into account
- Brilliant communication skills
- Ability to contribute ideas and support the team environment to encourage efficient workflow processes
Preferred Skills:
- An understanding of brandsβ readership and current market trends
- Some newsstand and publishing industry awareness
- Experience of designing digital assets is desirable but not essential
