We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide personalised academic support to GCSE students. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education and a genuine interest in helping learners achieve their full potential. Ideally a final-year student studying towards a Teaching Degree (BA/BSc with QTS or equivalent). This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic journeys while developing your teaching skills.
Duties
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions in specific subjects, tailored to individual student needs
- Assist students with homework, exam preparation, and understanding complex concepts
- Develop engaging lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning experiences
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents where appropriate
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation
- Maintain organised records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and student achievements
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and educational professionals to support student development
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, ideally with children or young learners
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining concepts clearly and patiently
- Experience with special education needs is desirable but not essential
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
