Our Lady Star of the Sea School (Christchurch) Canterbury is seeking a compassionate, patient, and proactive teacher aide to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside our classroom teachers to support Year 5–8 students who have a range of learning needs.

Key requirements:

  • Able to use initiative to anticipate student needs and act independently.
  • Agility and adaptability to quickly respond to changing classroom dynamics.
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
  • A natural ability to build rapport and create a safe, encouraging environment for students with learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Hours: 10–15 hours per week (Term time only)

Fixed term position starting Term 3 2026 until December 2027.
