You will be expected to:
- Lead and supervise preschool staff.
- Plan and implement a curriculum in line with EYFS requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, ensuring children receive appropriate stimulation and support.
- Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all children.
- Oversee all aspects of preschool operations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and maintain positive relationships with the preschool committee and external agencies.
- Regularly review preschool policies and procedures to meet EYFS welfare requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 Early Years education and childcare qualification or equivalent; commitment to higher-level qualifications (Level 4/5) preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory or management experience in an early years setting or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of child development, SEN Code of Practice, safeguarding, and current legislation relevant to early years.
- Ability to plan and implement a broad, balanced curriculum and maintain high-quality standards in line with EYFS.
