Our Lady and St Werburgh’s Catholic Primary School is a high-performing and popular school with exceptionally supportive parents who play a vital role in the school’s continued success and achievement.
We are looking for a Head of School who will care for our children, motivate our staff, work with our families, and lead us to know more about Jesus Christ by evangelising the message of the gospels. As part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Academy Trust, our new Head of School should be able to provide clear direction and demonstrate experience and impact of leadership at primary level. The Head of School will report directly to the Executive Headteacher to secure school improvement and best practice for the benefit of all pupils within the academy and across the CMAT.
Key responsibilities:- Demonstrate a clear vision for Catholic education, lead the Catholic life of the academy through devotion to their own faith, and engage with others within the parish and local community.
- Work closely with the CSEL, Executive Headteacher and local academy to set the academy’s strategic vision.
- Demonstrate resilience and commitment in securing positive outcomes for all pupils.
- Possess excellent inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrate understanding and awareness of pedagogy and research to improve outcomes for all pupils.
- Sustain a positive culture with high regard for pupil and staff well-being.
