Do you have a passion for improving the educational opportunities of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? As the SENDCO, under the direction of the Assistant Head (Inclusion) and the Headteacher, you will:
- Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
- Be responsible for day‐to‐day operation of the SEND policy and co‐ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEND or a disability.
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
- Be expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.

- To be able to liaise effectively with parents, carers and external agencies to support our children in being the best they can be.
- Be an excellent, well qualified classroom practitioner.
- Be dedicated to raising the achievement of all pupils through high standards and expectations.
- Be able to work as part of a vibrant and energetic team.
- Have good understanding of the national curriculum.
- Provide a positive and effective learning environment to all children in your care.
- Inspire, challenge and motivate all learners.
- Have excellent record keeping skills.
