The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Investment Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of investment strategies, public and private financial markets, and asset management, coupled with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. This individual will be responsible for creating high-quality, client-centric content that effectively communicates complex investment concepts across multiple platforms, including thought leadership articles, white papers, presentations, marketing collateral, and digital media.
As a Senior Investment Writer, you will collaborate closely with CIOs, investment teams, product specialists, distribution, and marketing professionals, to produce content that enhances the firm’s brand, engages clients, and supports business development objectives. You’ll write for both the intermediary and institutional distribution channels as well as a global audience. Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop clear, compelling, and insightful investment-related content, including white papers, market commentaries, thought leadership pieces, and web content. Translate complex financial and economic concepts into language that is accessible and engaging for institutional and retail audiences. Write materials for chief investment officers as needed, including regular, timely, and insightful commentary on financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and asset allocation strategies. Play a key role in the development and execution of the firm’s flagship content initiatives, including the annual market outlook campaign and other thematic projects. Adapt content to address emerging client needs, industry developments, and ad hoc requests from stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with portfolio managers, analysts, and economists to extract insights and craft content that reflects the firm’s investment philosophy and expertise. Work closely with marketing and communications teams to align content with broader brand messaging and business goals.
- Editorial Standards: Ensure all content adheres to the firm’s tone, style, and compliance guidelines. Edit and proofread materials to maintain high-quality standards and consistency. Ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Thought Leadership: Identify emerging trends and topics in the investment industry to generate timely and relevant content ideas. Contribute to the development of content strategies that position the firm as an industry leader.
- Digital and Multimedia Adaptation: Collaborate with digital marketing teams to repurpose content for social media, email campaigns, videos, and other digital platforms. Leverage SEO best practices to optimize content for online visibility and engagement.

- Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and macroeconomic trends. Familiarity with asset classes such as equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 7+ years of experience in investment writing, journalism, or financial marketing, preferably within an asset management or financial services environment. CFA designation or progress toward CFA is a plus but not required.
