Our goal is to create a world‐leading resource for health research, to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start, so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.

We're looking for a Content Designer for our Health Insights programme. Health Insights will help us to communicate with our participants, offering personalised health insights from the information they share. Embedded in a cross‐functional team, you will help to discover, define, develop and deliver the programme. This means identifying and designing content that supports our user journeys, so that people from all backgrounds can experience seamless interactions with Our Future Health. You will also work alongside other Content Designers to advocate for content design best practice across the organisation, so that our content is consistent, cohesive, and always on‐message. The role involves working with numerous internal teams, with a particular emphasis on communications, design, product and behavioural science.

Responsibilities

  • Designing new content for our digital products or services.
  • Identifying the language we should use to communicate nuanced and potentially delicate health topics.
  • Prototyping and testing content, working closely with designers and behavioural scientists.
  • Using data and research as evidence to inform your content design.
  • Ensuring all content is accessible, usable, and aligned to our brand messaging.
  • Helping to iterate our style guides and content standards, so that consistency is maintained across platforms and materials.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to clearly and correctly represent complex requirements and processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a content design role.
  • Excellent understanding of content design, including usability and accessibility.
  • Evidence of championing content design to a wide‐range group of stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast‐paced and multidisciplinary team, designing and developing content to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Experience of creating technical documentation and/or scientifically complex content, in lockstep with subject matter experts.
  • Habitually uses data and research to inform content development.
  • Able to clearly communicate content design decisions, take on‐board feedback, and work in an open and collaborative way.
  • Experience of working in the healthcare sector and/or a non‐profit environment is desirable but not a necessity.
