We need a Data Protection Manager to play a key role in ensuring our Reconnect programme maintains the highest standards of data privacy and governance. You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing Our Future Health's activities, systems, processes, and projects against the UK GDPR requirements and other national data protection laws and applicable industry standards (i.e. Five Safes framework).
  • Ensuring privacy-by-design and by-default are embedded within Our Future Health's activities, systems, processes and projects, including the Feedback, Engagement, and Recontact programme.
  • Advancing the maturity of the organisation's data protection compliance programme, including creating, updating, and supporting with the implementation of data protection policies, processes and procedures, developing and implementing a data protection risk management framework and supporting with internal and external audits as well as the attainment of relevant accreditations.
  • Advising on, and where required carrying out, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), data mapping, staff training, and internal audits in line with the DPO's strategy as well as deputising for the DPO when required.
  • Deep understanding and experience working to UK and/or EU data privacy laws and relevant industry standards.
  • Solid experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function, with recent experience in privacy compliance on a company wide scale.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing policies, procedures and frameworks, along with assessing compliance against them.
  • You have ensured privacy-by-design and by-default are embedded into an organisation's activities, processes and systems.
  • You understand the start-up / scale-up environment.
