The Opportunity: KPMG's Financial Services Corporate Tax team holds a strong market reputation, partnering with an impressive array of clients on high-profile tax advisory and project work. As a Senior Manager, you will be instrumental in:

  • Leading and delivering bespoke corporate tax advisory engagements for our financial services clients.
  • Providing sophisticated tax advice on complex matters, including emergent areas like Pillar Two.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, expertly managing relationships and commercial arrangements.
  • Overseeing and reviewing corporate tax compliance and reporting where there is an interest and need.
  • Collaborating with audit teams to provide expert tax audit support for our financial services entities.
  • Actively contributing to business development initiatives and collaborating across the wider practice to drive growth.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Currently operating at a Senior Manager grade or an experienced Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in UK corporate tax are fundamental, including experience with corporate tax advisory work.
  • Proven experience in leading client relationships, managing engagements effectively, and maintaining strong financial discipline.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and develop teams, ensuring high-quality project delivery and actively mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Strong awareness of broader tax and accounting principles, with the capability to undertake detailed technical research.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, vital for fostering strong internal and external client relationships.
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to navigate rapidly changing tax, regulatory, and business landscapes.

Highly Desirable (but not essential):

  • Significant knowledge and experience within the financial services sector (Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, or broader FS).
  • While highly valued, we will consider exceptional candidates from other sectors with a strong desire to specialise in financial services, where comprehensive training will be provided.

Qualifications:

Essential: CTA and/or ACA/CA and/or equivalent legal/HMRC/international qualification.
