This is a contract, hybrid role based in London with a mix of on‑site client and office meetings and some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Business Development/Recruitment Consultant will identify and cultivate new business opportunities, manage a pipeline of prospective clients, and conduct outbound outreach through calls, emails, and networking. On the recruitment side, the role will involve taking detailed job briefs, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process. The consultant will prepare and deliver client proposals, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates to ensure successful placements. Day‑to‑day responsibilities also include updating CRM and applicant tracking systems, providing regular activity and performance reports, and collaborating with colleagues on market insights and best practices.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or recruitment consultancy, ideally within a professional services or staffing environment.
- Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand client needs, and present tailored solutions.
- Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from role briefing and sourcing to offer negotiation and placement.
- Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple roles, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.
