About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics and supply chain professional to play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth stock movement and operational efficiency within the Manufacturing division. As part of the Tech & Ops function, this role supports OUP’s mission of operational excellence by enabling seamless warehousing, inventory flow, and timely supply chain execution. You will be joining a collaborative environment where cross‑functional teamwork, continuous improvement, and business impact are central to the culture. Opportunity – In this role, you will:
- Manage primary logistics, printer stock movements, and stock receipt facilitation at warehouses.
- Optimize freight costs and oversee FTL/PTL management, turnaround times (TAT), and transit tracking.
- Maintain daily MIS of stock call‑outs, stock movement, and tracking updates.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support business operations effectively.
- Handle the call‑outs process, including sending Advance Shipment Notes and releasing inbound purchase orders to warehouses.
- Ensure vehicle placement and utilization, cost optimization, and timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplies, track stock movement, and ensure timely inwarding at warehouses.
- Update MIS reports on call‑out movements, stock‑in‑transit status, and call‑out performance.
- Escalate stock damages, faulty stock issues, and short/excess receipt cases to suppliers.
- Support direct shipments, billing, and related supply chain activities.
- Verify supplier invoices for accuracy.

About You
- 4–5 years of experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or Warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM Module.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, Inventory/Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance).
- Solid understanding of transit documentation, GST, E‑way bills, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, tools), and ability to maintain MIS and PPT reports.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in challenging environments with enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Graduate with a Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain.
- Experience in FMCG, Retail, or Publishing supply chain or warehousing environments.
