This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to OUP’s mission of delivering high‑quality, customised ELT content across global markets. As part of the Custom Publishing Unit (CPU), you will play a central role in supporting bespoke product creation—an area of growing strategic importance. For individuals already employed elsewhere, this position provides a positive move into a collaborative, international publishing environment where accuracy, data quality, and workflow efficiency directly influence project success. You will work closely with UK and Noida teams, gain exposure to multiple publishing systems (Biblio, SAP, DAM, ClickUp), and help ensure timely delivery of customised products that meet diverse learner and market needs. The role is engaging, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys organised workflows, problem‑solving, and supporting multiple stakeholders across product, data, and IP functions.

Opportunity – the ‘what’

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • You will provide end‑to‑end administrative and data support for Custom Publishing Unit products across the following key areas:
  • Create cost groups and complete all CPU product information in Biblio. Ensure product setup is accurate and conduct full pre‑flight checks prior to approval. Troubleshoot data queries with Product Data Leads as needed.
  • ISBN Management
  • Set up series codes in SAP and request ISBNs for packs and components. Monitor delivery of ISBNs from Publications. Proactively identify and fix ISBN errors or gaps, advising stakeholders where necessary. Maintain clear, visible ISBN reports by series, sector, portfolio, or market. Ensure accurate Enterprise Access Control (EAC) setup in both UAT and Production environments.
  • Project Administration
    • Support asset retrieval and maintenance, including requests for PDFs, archive materials, gratis/library copies. Assist with project and supplier onboarding and systems access setup, including Microsoft Teams and DAM. Support procurement activities:
    • Create and manage purchase orders
    • Create Letters of Agreement
    • Resolve invoice or procurement workflow queries
  • Contracts & IP Support
    • Create Letters of Agreement (LOAs) as directed by the IP and Contracts Lead. Create and process New Publication Forms (NPFs).

    Working Relationships

    • Collaborate closely with Product Customization Leads, Data Leads, IP & Contracts Leads, and Editorial Project Managers. Keep Manufacturing and Supply Planning teams informed to ensure timely delivery of urgent CPU products. Work collaboratively with UK and Noida ELT Product teams.

    About You

    • Ability to work accurately with data, metadata, and product systems
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to follow defined workflows and documentation processes
    • Experience providing administrative support in publishing or related fields
    • Knowledge of SAP, Biblio, Salesforce, ClickUp, or similar systems
    • Understanding of Contracts and IP workflows
