We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our busy journals marketing team. Responsibilities include implementation of strategic marketing activities across our portfolio of journals, under direction of their manager, and based on departmental goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize marketing tools such as social media, paid advertising, email and multimedia to carry out strategic objectives.
- Write marketing copy for digital and print campaigns.
- Create design assets for marketing campaigns.
- Assist in preparation of marketing reports and plans.
- Conduct analyses of campaigns and social media channels as part of reporting to key stakeholders.
- Research markets key to our titles, and carry out required data analysis.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a six-month fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
Qualifications
- Some experience of working within a marketing and/or publishing environment would be preferable but is not essential.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and quickly without supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong sense of initiative with the ability to make appropriate suggestions for improvements to both marketing campaigns and working practices.
- Highly creative and have a can-do, positive attitude.
- Willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of social media channels.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
